Hi all. Here is a nice shot of some of my furry friends. First "Bugs" showed up with the new "Baby Bugs". Bugs trusts me and has even come up and was on my shoe one time while feeding, but baby is still a little shy. So I put some bread out in the yard. Then later, Rocky showed up and hopped over the baby to get into the picture (and food). Not wanting to scare the baby bunny I took this shot from inside of our screened in back porch, so it is not quite as sharp as my usual photos.

I hope that you enjoy this capture.

We saw this little lady at the local botanic gardens yesterday. She is an Eastern Spinebill, about the size of a sparrow. She stopped for less than a second for her portrait: thank heavens for auto-focus!

Hi all. Well, the baby bunny is getting more tame and friendly each day. Here is a close up on our back patio after I finished watering our herb garden:

And now to the front yard. Here is a nice new yellow bloom on our Stella De Oro Day Lilly:

And here is a nice new white bloom on our Desert Rose:

Soon our orchid will come to bloom with a beautiful purple flower.

Continuing with my bird theme. Most of the lorikeets around here are rainbow lorikeets, but occasionally you can see a Musk Lorikeet, like this one I saw yesterday. It is amazing how well the colourful lorikeets camouflage when they are in a flowering gum tree.

Having quite a lazy afternoon today, so I decided to wander around our garden with my camera (don't tell Sophia though. She is working and might get annoyed with me for sneaking off )

Anyway, I thought I would share some of our lovely little plants with you. None of these have been planted by us. They are courtesy of the birds that visit our garden.

Bluebell (Spanish variety we think)

Choisya Ternata ("Mexican Orange Blossom")

Lunaria Annua ("Honesty")

Oxalis

Tulip

Here is a photo of Sheri's Red Euphoria (Euphorbia Milii), also called "Crown of Thorns". It is native to Madagascar and was brought to France by Baron Milius (hence the botanical name), governor of Reunion Island and were later distributed throughout Europe and North and South Americas. Euphorbia are succulents and therefore have cactus like spines:

Here is another succulent from Sheri's garden. Aloe vera is a succulent plant species of the genus Aloe. It originates from the Arabian Peninsula, but grows wild in tropical, semi-tropical, and arid climates around the world. The most mature plant in the group has a very long blossom tube as you can see:

This is one of a number of sculptures of fairies at Trentham Gardens, Stoke-on-Trent. This is called Fledgelings, and is photographed in infrared.

The first Baltimore Orioles of the year showed up over the weekend, this is also my first summer with an oriole feeder up, hoping to attract them.

This is my favorite image that I got of the ones that stopped by (on the bird bath).

The bird bath is also new this year! It is glass and has a hummingbird on it.

I love the pop of orange from the Orioles.

It is a little drab weather-wise here at the moment, but this beautiful Iris adds some heart-warming colour to our garden.
