The Palomar dome, as seen over my back fence, today.

A much smaller dome can be seen off to the right of the main one.

A much smaller dome can (barely) be seen off to the right of the main one [would that this site did not downsize images so much!].

I miss that view while travelling to a dark site on Jasper Rd., near Ranchita! We moved out of the area two years ago.

Early 2000s I belonged to a gun club whose range was up Chimney Rock road, just across S22 from Jasper. It got to be too far a drive so I let it go.

Our garden is in bloom after winter storms and I love how Rosemary blue provides a nice backdrop for Aeonium yellow.

Hi NG @Nakedgun. A very nice gallery of beautiful clouds imaged by you. A few mornings ago, while I was feeding my Ibis birdies, I looked up and saw a formation of 6 lenticular clouds. By the time I finished feeding the birds and got my camera outside I could only capture 5 in the field of view. Lenticular clouds form when the air is stable and winds blow across hills and mountains from the same or similar direction at different heights through the troposphere.

Had a walk through our garden today and found a couple of little gems to share with you.

The first two are Crocus, which are growing through our front lawn...

We also have some Snowdrops coming through our borders but not established enough to photograph at the moment.

I had the same thought. It is going to warm up the next couple of days, so some of that snow will be gone (We probably got about another foot on top of what's in the photos). By the end of March, it will all be gone, and the early flowers will be starting to sprout. Hopefully.
