For some reason I don't understand, I failed to buy one of these when they could be had new. I did buy all the other Type 6 focal lengths new, but not this one, and had to wait quite a spell for someone willing to part with theirs. Collection now complete.

A few clouds boiled up Saturday afternoon.

A jet passes by:

Local skydiving plane heads back to the strip:

Final:

Eventually, the sky clouded over completely and rain fell, though not at my place.
Later on they mostly all cleared away.

I posted a photo here on 3 November 2021 of a beautiful pink flower called "Nerine-bowdenii"- Nerine-bowdenii
- entry number #565

Since then, this beautiful little flower has blossomed immensely and is brightening our garden even more this year...

I bought this maple at K-Mart 20 years ago, every autumn it does this, then it holds it's brown leaves till spring.

... and from another recent trip, this time to southern Eyre Peninsula in South Oz:

a nice place for a nest:
Osprey 1.jpeg

if you can't see the Osprey, here she is a bit closer (I only had a 200mm lens, hand-held, and there was a 30 knot wind at the time, so I reckon it isn't too bad.)

Now for a celestial object. Moon rise from the caravan park I was staying at:

There was some high cloud, so a ghostly moon initially:

Finally (for now!). One of the local ladies from the Barossa Goldfields (there were dozens of these around our B&B):

If you look closely, you can see the tip of her joey's tail sticking out from her pouch.

I couldn't resist showing this one... I saw it on an old fence post while I was doing a bird count at a local wetland on the weekend. I assume she is laying eggs in the post. I love the camouflage!

All great images Dean.

I think you are spoilt for choice with the job you do, coming into contact with all that wildlife on a regular basis

Nature is amazing, especially when it gives little critters (as in your last photo) such great camouflage.

Our own personal rainbow appeared in the backyard today. Conditions were just right--the raindrops are evident only in the vicinity of the rainbow, reflecting back the sunlight.
