Another Mars Image - 22/10/20

Yet another Mars image! Turned out better than I expected. Certainly better than my last attempt! Pleased to see the polar ice cap hasn't thawed before my sky cleared!
Altair Astro GPCAM290C, 2000 frame .ser video at 20ms 300 gain, saved as .tif files in PIPP, 20% stacked in AS!3, cropped and sharpened in
Gimp.

You did capture the cap!
When I did mine a week or so ago, I didn't see the cap. I change over my setup to try my long focal length refractor so maybe this time I can catch it!

Nice Graeme. The cap is one thing, but there’s a lot of nice detail on there too.

I'm pretty sure it's there but I was trying to image with a F6 scope. It probably got lost in the processing I had to do.

Cheers. Stellarium indicates I caught Valles Marineris but I haven't got the resolution to confirm.

This is a great image...it is revealing a different face than I have been seeing here in Illinois.
