Re: What are you currently reading?
I got a non-fiction work that is like a novel called "The Wager" on Christmas from my sister by author David Grann.
I have to start reading it. The tagline says it is a tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder and a NY Times No. 1 bestseller.

Re: What are you currently reading?
My homework this month is The Ghost Forest, by Greg King.
https://gregkingwriter.com/the-ghost-forest
It's the story of the "green rush" in California (the timber equivalent of the gold rush), and the creation of the Headwaters Forest Reserve. The shady characters involved in the aggressive extraction and destruction of the redwood groves of northern California are surprising: California university departments, a preservation society that was a front for a green washing operation, and not so surprising, a venture capitalist and of course politicians.
It's homework because I'll be privileged to lead hikes in the the reserve, starting next summer!

All of them?
I've read Dune three of four times during the last 50 years, Dune Messiah and Children of Dune twice, and gave up on God Emperor probably 25 years ago.
Since the Villeneuve film I have acquired the full set, adding Heretics and Chapterhouse, as well as the Dune Encyclopedia.
At some point I hope to delve back in.

Re: What are you currently reading?
Among other books, I'm rereading An Army at Dawn: The War in North Africa, 1942–1943. I should look for some other desert warfare books I suppose.

Just completed: "Not Stolen, The Truth About European Colonialism in the New World" by Jeff Fynn-Paul, 2023, 397 pages.
Debunks the pseudo-Marxist blather espoused by non-historians over the last couple of decades, the roots of which germinated in the '60s and '70s.
