Damp and cloudy with occasional drizzle. Mid 50s so below average for the area and the date.
No clear nights for the next three days.

Very strange today;
The heat was running when we woke up, no rain forecasted, but had a storm with extremely high winds.

Then the AC came on, then another rain wind storm. I'm sure the darn heat will be on later lol

Clear and 54*F now, supposed to be clear tonight. And of course there'll be a fatboy moon sitting up there.

New moon coming this weekend, so cloudy skies are inevitable.

This year monsoon weather has arrived to SoCal deserts two months earlier. In combination with marine layer which is affectionally called here June Gloom - May Grey the weather has both my observing locations covered. :lol:

I read about that in So Cal. Will it be a problem? Two years ago there were dry-lightning storms in the Bay Area (August) from monsoons which caused 10k lightning strikes in Nor Cal and ignited several fires, leading to a smoky September. I hope you guys can avoid something like this...

All the vegetation from wet winter have not dried yet, so hopefully not as bad as it would have been in August/September.

Continued partly cloudy windy and mild. Possible clear night coming up but the Jet Stream may limit sky quality.

No clouds but the wildfire smoke is back. Even the local TV weatherheads are talking about it.

Last year was the first time mosquitoes had any impact in our area, and I've lived here 33 years.

They were quite a problem statewide. Looks like they'll be an issue again this year, based on my experience Monday evening.
