Surprising but the current weather was not forecast.
At the moment it is -5C with 14 km/h winds.
I just came in from setting up the SV M2C mount and TAL 100.
Skies are about 2.5/ 5 but I will take it!

May as well get a last session in as obviously the world will end sometime today.

Agreed, seeing -5/5 for 3 months, getting tired of it, all this gear sitting here waiting to capture beautiful images. I just bought a 3D printer as another hobby and to make astronomy parts some day, as well as a plethora of other goodies for other hobbies.

I understand completely.
While I was there I did a complete tear down of a 102 mm & SLT mount and modified both quite a bit.
Then the nieghbours gave me a 150 mm f/5 newtonian (horrible telescope and mount) but I managed to make something of it by spring.
After that I did a complete refurbish of a 150 mm f/8 refractor.

When the skies are good there they are fantastic... When they are poor they are really poor for a long time!

Back when my son still lived here 2007-2020, we (I) would make an ice rink every year, I would be out in the yard bundled up with the hose, pouring hundreds of gallons per session on it, he would be watching me from the deck sitting in the hot tub, under beautiful clear skies. I remember all the incredible nights sitting in the hot tub looking up at the stars and seeing the Milky way and many constellations (we used to go to the planetarium show at the science center at least once per month). All those clear nights are what I remember and is why I thought I would get back into Astronomy...who knew. As Monty Python says " Bloody weather".

Still snowy after 5 days. Managed to get the SUV down the driveway yesterday but almost slid into a ditch even though I have all weather tires. A bit harrowing. I drove into town for some provisions. Kind of tiresome here in northwestern Washington. I know how @Kilohertz feels in B.C. the Xfinity cable box went on the fritz so I have to swap it out for a new one today.

@helicon Where in WA are you? I used to travel to Spokane, Roslyn, Seattle, Prosser, Whidbey and a few others quite regularly when I lived in Vancouver. Snoqualmie pass was a doozy a few times, now that's a lot of snow.

Clear, but very cold yesterday morning, but I did manage to spend a little time admiring the δ Lyrae cluster and split δ Corvi with my 80mm through my dining room windows.
Today is a mix of freezing drizzle, rain, and freezing rain throughout the day and evening. Heavier icing forecast for tomorrow.

Nasty storm here, flooding, 55mph gusts, heavy rains, and warm, 58F with snow melting in the mountains adding to localized flooding.

Yeah, but, other than that, it's perfect astronomy weather!

Or go to the Mid Kent Astronomy Society meeting for a talk on JWST and Euclid?

I suspect the telescope will win!
