We have been rather fortunate here, it went down to 34F last night and is now in the mid 40s.
But just 20 miles north of here it's almost 20 degrees colder.

Stay warm all!

Over the next ten days we're looking at upper-60s through Tuesday, dropping to upper 40s Wednesday as a storm comes through bringing significant (for us) rain through Tuesday the following week, perhaps beyond that.

Guess I'll try to make a dent in my reading backlog.

Clear and in the 20s this morning and of course, I slept until nautical twilight, so not much point in taking a scope out.

Heavy rain and / or sleet and / or snow forecast for tomorrow, depending on location. if Southern Wisconsin gets hit, I might have to break out the snowshoes and head north - there's not been much snow here this winter.

It's supposed to go into the 80s the next few days with pollen.

The weather person said don't get used to it, it's gonna drop into the 70s next week lol

Sometimes I question my sanity, being that we are moving up north in several months.

Currently showers and 70F.
I just came in from working in the garden.
It is currently 40F above the long term average for this date.

Been rather warm here lately with highs 78-82F
The leaves have started appearing on the trees.

Watch, we will have a frost next month and the leaves will turn colour, fall off and I get to rake the yard again lol (it's happened before).

Clear last night and this morning, so I was able to get a doubleheader in - Canis Major last night and Cygnus this morning. Aviation WX reported mist this morning which probably caused the thin, crispy slush on my deck and reduced transparency.

Rain forecast for tonight and Monday, but gradually warming.

Continuing our "California blizzard". Usually this means it is too cold to walk around in T shirts, but I admit it has been pretty cold. Today it was probably about 4C though most of it was 8-12C. Snow on the mountains surrounding SB. Inside I wear a vest with thick lining and a hood, wanting not to burn much CH4 because of the CO2. The forecast is rain for the next 3 days. On Wednesday I will be retired and will be looking for AP opportunities though I may wait for the next new Moon.

I couldn't care less about "CO2", winter time I keep the house warm enough to wear shorts and t-shirt inside, I like being comfortable during retirement.

Shoveled snow yesterday for 1.5 hours to clear the driveway. Today 1 foot is expected. Same thing this afternoon. Why do I feel like Sysyphus?

He was the character in Greek mythology who was doomed by Zeus to rolling a rock up a hill, only to have it roll down. Then he started all over again, perpetually.

As normal for this time of year. I have snow shovels, ice scrapers, and driveway salt at strategic locations around the house and yard.
What am I actually doing this year at the end of February? Pulling weeds!
