The air is still quite saturated.

A heat-health warning has been issued for the UK, where temperatures are expected to reach 33℃ (91.4℉) in certain places.

The south (where we are) is possibly one of them, but at the moment the highest temperature is 25℃ (77℉).

This BBC website has an interesting article on the UK temperatures...

Is the UK getting hotter, and what causes heatwaves?.

Spotty. Driving to work this morning it was completely dry, then I was in a monsoon, then completely dry, then a monsoon. Supposed to settle down later though and be nice the first part of next week.

You should bring your new scope over here for a few days Jeff.

We are getting scorching hot sunny days and clear blue skies at the moment.

Anyway, good luck when you get chance to try it out, and let us know how it goes :)

A National emergency has been declared in the UK for Monday and Tuesday after our first red extreme heat warning.

This BBC weather report explains ...

On an extract from the map below, I have highlighted the New Forest area where we live, and we are just outside the 'red' zone.

However, we are still in the 'amber' area though.

Haven't had time to venture out today as had a load of work to get done for my MSc, but it's remained reasonably comfortable(ish) at 31C... tomorrow looks like it may be a painful 37/38C. Fortunately, I work from home and will get most of my work done first thing in the morning as I can't imagine being too productive once the temp gets up to silly levels...
