Sh2-170 Little Rosette

#1

Post by KathyNS »

This is a faint, smaller version of the better-known Rosette Nebula. It is located in Cassiopeia. We have a rare run of clear moonless nights going this week. My first attempt aborted the night before last, due to heavy dew triggering my automatic rain closure. So I re-ran it last night, after turning down the sensitivity of the rain sensor. It turned out to be worth the effort.
