Bolt sizes.

#1

Post by Pitsmoor Col »

Hi, There are Two threaded bolt holes on the bottom of the base on my ETX 125. I am sure they are for attaching a wedge, can anyone tell me what size bolts I would need to attach a wedge. Thank you...

Try 1/4" x 20 or M6 x 1, that is more a guess as any bolts usually come with the wedge.

The ETX 125 scopes that I have seen use the Meade field tripod that has a built-in wedge. Is this not the case with you?

Hi Jay Tee, I have never seen that mount before, don't have a Meade deluxe tripod. I am trying to adapt an old tripod to carry my Meade ETX125.

Oh, thank you. That's important information to know!

You wouldn't be the first one to have to make a couple of trips to the hardware store to trial and error figure this out!
