Astrophotography video

#1

Post by carastro »

I thought rather than post all my images up individually, I'd do a video of my best images to date:

It's my first go at it, and so some mistakes. Possibly not enough time on some of the images as I think this depends on what motion was chosen. No idea how the title page comes out a few images in and I should have added that the music was aptly "starlight glow".

Mount: HEQ5 + Polemaster
Guiding: SW Finderguider and QHY5
Scopes: Skywatcher ED80, Skywatcher ED120, William Optics ZS71, Samyang 135MM F2 lens,
Cameras: Atik460EX, Atik428EX, Canon 1100D
Filters: Baader

That is a great collection of images, Carole! I agree with you that some of the images felt "rushed" when viewing and could have stood for more screen time. What a great way to present your fine work.

That was a great collection! Like you said, there was not enough time to see some of the images. I was like "wait, I wanted to see that one more!" :)

Thanks for your lovely replies every one.

I have spent today constructing a better one with 7 sec on each image rather than the default 3secs and I have put captions on them too. Will post up the link when it is uploaded to YouTube. Only trouble is it now makes the video over twice as long. But quite a few people has said they would have liked longer, so you will have a choice which one to watch.
Some very nice images Carole.
How many of those did you take in London?
In the new video there are 77 images (2 o3 3 more than this one)

37 out of 77 were done from Home Bortle 8.

Fabulous. What programme did you use to compile the clip.
I found it in-built in the programmes for W10 - it is called Photos.
