Re: Celestron Nexstar 114MM with go to
Not sure about the Nexstar 114mm, but I have a Nexstar 130 Slt. I can plug in a Celestron SkyPortal module into the AUX port on the mount and control the mount with the free SkyPortal

Daniel's mount is the GT mount, not the SLT mount, consequently, it does not have an AUX port. This means that he can't do Wi-Fi, his only method to remotely control his mount, is to use a cable attached to the base of the hand controller. If it's the newer hand controller it'll be a USB connection (mini / micro / C), if it's the older hand controller it'll be the older RJ12 connector.
Either way he should be able to hook up his mount to his laptop or tablet via the cable and then through the

If it is, there is no version so cannot be upgraded but the accessories page lists the specific cable you will need to operate the mount from a windows computer.
It also mentions a program that works with it.

I would advise you to download SkyTech X, a free planetarium program. It is my new favorite. Of course, you can do this just as easily with Stellarium

Now that this is done, turn on your mount, set time and date and location then do an alignment (I do this indoors with no scope attached and point the scope generally north then do a 1-star alignment selecting Polaris, you don't really even need to close, just hit enter then align and you should get an align success notice.
