Starnet takes forever on my Mac too... I'm going to use it as a test to see how much of a difference 32gb makes compared to 8gb (just upgraded the RAM in my Mac)
It is an awesome process, and gives you a lot of control over the processing!

Yeah, I have found that starnet++ works about the best of any starless process I have used. But it does need a little post processing to address artifacts form the brighter stars.
