I just discovered this a few minutes ago - NEAT! However, it doesn't seem to work on all topics such as in the Off Topic post "Scientists have Created a Sound so Loud it can Vaporize Water"

Ahhhhh the joys of growing pains :)

Just one caveat: If there has been no response to a thread yet, I get a tooltip "Unread post" not the contents of the first one.

As far as I'm aware, there is not a way to 'hover' on a touch pad device. I'm sure if the 'coder' had developed the extension more it could be done with a double tap but apparently they didn't take it that far.

Sorry.

Actually I just found that if you keep your finger on the link the preview window shows up. Unfortunately right after that, the standard choice popup with grayed out screen also shows up. If you click outside that, the preview popup is clearly visible.
