Not a common camera we see. Looks like a dandy guide cam and would do well on lunar and planetary.

Might also give my friend Nick a ring and see what he has in stock for you: https://www.altairastro.com/Altair-Astro-Cameras/ :)

It has the imx290 chip which is a pretty good cmos chip for planetary imaging ,The Svbony SV205 has the same chip with usb 3.0 , also zwo have a camera with that chip ,

i can't comment on the quality ,but from what i've read that there might be driver problems with 8 bit and 12 bit raw modes for sharpcap for the bresser.

You could also get it in its original Touptek flavour :http://www.touptek.com/product/showprod ... =en&id=283
I have one of their cams and cannot wait to try their new ToupSky 64 bit software for live viewing.....

I have purchased this camera couple days ago, can't really say anything about it just yet. Tried it twice, with mixed feelings. First thing is to learn included software "toupsky ". I found couple guides over internet, but process of learning is painful - I am complete newbie! And I rather blame myself then the camera and telescope .

Any hints or tips into using the camera ?
I get mine tomorrow and like you I’m pretty much a newbie

I have downloaded and installed ToupSky 4.8 64 bit from the Touptek website, it is dated 1 Jan. 2020 but I have not had time to use it. One of the improvements is that it can use dark field and flat field correction and you can save photos of both types to use. I cannot say if the software would identify Bresser firmware and be able to use it.

I can confirm that software does work with bresser camera.
I've been playing with darks and flats - I've been able to take them, but I have no idea where these are after taking them, where are saved or how to use them. Main folder contained light images but no correctors and I didn't figure it out just yet.

My dark frames : c:\Program Files/Toup Tek/DarkF , I have not yet taken any Flat field photos but I have made a white cover for my telescope to use when I get to it.

My Flats and Darks are not there, nor any other folder - even choosen by me. I must be done something wrong ....
Anyway, thank you for that info, it looks like correctly taken correctors must be saved somewhere - unlikely my first thought ( saved somewhere in temp just for toupsky internall usage)
And we can use them in any other stacking software.
