ETX-90 manufacture date
My ETX-90 has a manufacture date of 2/5/98. Can anyone tell me where it was made and what optics it has? Thank you.

Re: ETX-90 manufacture date
If you look at the front lens it would say "USA" if it was made in the USA and if it has multi coated optics or "UHTC" if it has Ultra High Transmission Coatings.

Re: ETX-90 manufacture date
So we have same type, mine broke a gear in the Alt drive and although I did manage to a find gear I must still reassemble it but with a working 8" LX90ACF with UHTC I am not very motivated. It has excellent optics for a scope that size but it has problems with it's drives and for me it was a problem to get the play on both drives to a acceptable level. After adjusting the the worm gear tension I did not wait long enough for the loctite to cure so the worm gear locked up and broke one of the nylon gears. How does the play feel on yours?
