I know it is Celestron Newt on a manual EQ mount. He should get back to me with the model info. Hopefully, it is not Bird Jones design. :)
If it is there is a DIY thread here that will either 1) scare him into returning it or 2) develop skills in telescope making. :)

If it's the 127EQ f8 or the 114EQ f9.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTXEJizAneY
Luckily it is 130EQ. The mount is wobbly but the optic is decent according to feedback on forums.
Excellent news! That simplifies life quite a bit. The mount can be tweaked a bit. At least tighten it up and add some dead mass? I did a clean and relube job on a CG4 and it worked well after that.

The mount is an EQ-3 at least and the 130mm is a decent telescope.
The largest complaints I usually here about them is the red dot finder is sometimes misaligned which becomes a pain to fix.

The last one I repaired was so out of alignment I just removed it and mounted a 8x50 on the tube.
If the molded plastic base is out of alignment your going to fight to get the RD to sit properly.

Get them to pop off the cap that says CG-3 German Equitorial Mount. Under there is the nut that holds the RA Axis together. Tighten that and some of the wobble will go out of it.

Issues with the Red dot aren;t actually something I've had. There should be an adjuster on the top and the bottom that will move it in AZ and Alt. Centre an image in the scope during the day then adjust those two until the red dot is in the same spot. I read a suggestion that you should do it at different magnifications but I didn't bother as I usually start with a wide field anyway to make sure I can locate an object before moving up in magnification.
