I Broke The Forum.

2019 Wrap up.

Post by Gordon »

Well.

Here we are. The end of 2019 and the start of a new decade. Most of you have elected to continue your 'forum journey' with TSS (The Sky Searchers). Back in March and April of this year a number of us started to create an alternative to our old forum. This was a very difficult decision but because of the lack of administration and the number of errors and security issues we made the jump.

It's be a fun adventure so far. Our members are enjoying the new format and the fact that we have been able to retain the 'flavor' of the old forum. This was probably the biggest concern we had. Our security is tight, our system errors are minimal and are being corrected as fast as possible, and we keep adding new features to help keep members coming back.

With that being said, I want to thank all the members of the team for the support and assistance given to get TSS up and running. We couldn't have done this without you.

And to our members! You folks are the greatest! It's hard to imagine getting 700 plus people in the same room and have everyone jump in to help new and old member alike, gain the knowledge to make their Astronomy experience better.

So congratulations to all and here's to a great 2020!! :text-happynewyear:

Thanks to all the admins/officers/back-stage crew who have made this forum an easy change-over from the previous. We all know there is/was a lot of work to make this happen.

Gordon and all the admins/mods/members, it's been great so far, and I thank you so much. Yeah, I still miss AF, but that feeling dwindles as time marches on. I gotta say, this has not been a good year for me, but the two stable things I have been able to count on have been my family and you folks here; all "the crew" from AF on the new and improved TSS, and new members as well.

All my best to all the best,
Mark

Too much Towa glass/mirrors.

W/L - C80-HD with Baader 5.0 & 3.8 Solar film, Solar Continuum 7.5nm and UV/IR filters with a Canon EOS 550D.

Oh yeah, and Solar Cycle 25 :D

Hi Gordon and all. As I type this we now have 708 registered members. Although I read some of the posts on the old AF, my last post was on September 30. I am devoting all of my energy to this great forum. It's all here folks, and it is like having a second family. Thanks to Gordon, the co-administrators, and the excellent members on here who make this a great astronomy forum experience. Oh, and bring on those TSS t-shirts. Thanks everyone, and have a great New Year.
