Hi all, owner of this mount since 7 monts I'm wonder the GPS catch up delay each time I turn on the mount. It take more than 15 min or so to be 'ok' in the main HC panel. Even if I write the date, hour and time zone, when it reach the update 'ok', happen alredy several times, it change the zone time and put a wrong one, or even messed up all the date, year month and hour and I have to redo all.
Is this behavior normal?
Why after a product so long in the market, the developers didnt upgrade at least for maintain this basic data with a little battery?
I updated the last version available a month ago for the HC and DEC/RA, but keep happen this delay and wrong update time zone.
Any suggestion or tip will be apreciated.

I have a similar problem. Replaced the battery - didn't help. It seems to be hit or miss. Sometimes it locks within a minute or two; sometimes it NEVER locks. Since my mount is semi-permanent it isn't such a big deal.

I get the correct date and the time is really close - the onboard real time clock is working. If it doesn't link I just set the time to the PC time just to make sure. iOptron Commander has a button to do that.

Thank you for the reply but I was curious about the OP as some of the iOptron mounts suffer from the GPS date rollover issue.

So far my new iEQ 30 has not had any issues with the GPS. I turned it on input the date time and time zone stuff and by the time I had that in the GPS kicked in and I was doing just fine. Will see how it goes as I move it and go other places with the mount.
