Re: What finder scope are you using?
I use the same cheapo 6x30 finder along my SCT that it came with. Since I use a goto mount and can achieve a ~1 deg TFOV with the main scope, I really need the finder just to set the first alignment star (provided that the mount is roughly pointing to the North Pole). After the alignment is done, I ofter remove the finder scope. For fast scopes, I would not use a finder at all.

On the SCT a 50mm Illum RACI . On the f6.9 80 mm I'm with OZman. A wide view long FL eyepiece makes it it's own finder.

I uses two mostly. One is an 8x50 Orion RACI that moves from scope to scope as needed. The other is a Baader Vario 10x60 that is dedicated to the Intes MK66. Apart from those I use red dots (Orion EZ Finder preferred) a lot.

Re: What finder scope are you using?
Both my scopes have 9x50 RACI finders--one from High Point Scientific, the other from Stellarvue. Anything smaller is a waste of time, IMO, and I don't know why they are even made.
