Post by Falcon 63 »

Hi all, one of my favorite summer sky objects.
Huge impressive fuzzball located in Centaurus that can been seen with the naked eye...even from my yard in the 'burbs.

Gorgeous!

I can only catch a "down in the muck" view of this object. Hopefully one day I can observe it from an appropriate latitude. :)

Thank you Falcon for this sketch, beautiful !
I will never view this one in my telescope.

I am noticing some vertical textures in the sketch. Is this the paper texture coming through or just the way my screen deploys the image data here...just curious.
Thank you.

That is really impressive! I have to ask, how long did that take to sketch?

Well done and all the best,

Hi Mark, too long!... about 6 hours over 3 nights. Can only manage a couple of hours at a time before the eyes pack it in.
