Best astro purchase ever

The little giant safety step. This will get the wife up to the eyepiece on the 16 inch at apex. Rock solid, nice wide steps, and a handhold at the top. No more sitting on top of a ladder for me.

Watch out, the next thing you know you're buying an observing chair. :D

Great looking ladder though. I'm sure you'll see a lot of wonderful usage from that accessory.

Big fan of their products as well. I like this design and may have to pick up one of these.

There are two different styles of this ladder, the safety step and the jumbo safety step. Mine is the jumbo model. They each have different models with different step counts.

Mine is the biggest model at 4 steps and it is very easy to carry around. I can easily carry it under one arm. It is very solid. The only complaint i have seen with them is when you fold it up it doesnt lock into place and the steps can come out on you. That wont happen if you use just half of your brain and carry it in a semi intelligent manner.

There is a tray up top and there are two larger holes that are just a little bit too small for a two inch eyepiece. A would think a dremel tool and a sanding wheel would open them up enough to remedy that minor detail. I may be doing that sometime in the future.

As always shop around. The best deal i found was through Amazon and they were significantly cheaper then buying it directly through little giant. None of the local hardware stores or big box stores had them in stock. There was about a three week wait for it to arrive.

My best astro purchase ever was my Vestil chair. (I'm only half kidding.)
