you know the phrase, I have a dream...

you know the phrase, I have a dream...

let me explain,
when I was younger I had a high quality telescope, which I found out about later after I had sold it.
I've regretted it ever since.
the telescope in question is an Astro-Physics Star 12ED
only 100 were made, 10 of them with lenses separated by oil, the other 90 with air.

I've been living with this regret for over 30 years.
but now, I've just learned that an auction will be held to raise funds and that two people are going to put this famous telescope up for auction.
I can't hold it in any longer since I received this email this evening.
I'm very happy and I don't even know if I'm going to get one of the two. :Astronomer1:
imagine if i ever win one of them .
I'm going to need some pills. :icon-smile:

it is written in the sky that I will formulate a bid or two .
heaven must know that I was very crazy when I was younger . :dance:

:observer: this is me and my astro-physic scope :icon-smile:

Good luck with the auction Jean-Yves.
Though I doubt I will ever have the chance to view through one of these it would be interesting to see how it stands with some European made refractors.
Some refractors, eyepieces, mounts and related equipment

Good luck with the effort. I think that would be a nice addition (obviously) to your kit.
