yes it's been a while, but the wait was worth it I think, thx Jos.OzEclipse wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2024 2:11 am Jean-Yves,
Wonderful. Congratulations. I know you've been waiting for quite a while for these to be delivered.
Enjoy and I'll look forward to reading your observing reports.
cheers
thx Aaron
no clouds, but not received the tripod and the head yet, thx Graeme .Graeme1858 wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2024 6:25 am Nice bins Jean-Yves.
I hope not too many clouds were delivered with them!
My APMs are brilliant.
yes and no, I bought my two zoom lenses for precisely that.
thank you Michael, one day maybe for you if ever the desire is too strong.
I just noticed that you have 100mm 90 binos
Typically, the binocular scopes are collimated to be good up to ~1 mm exit pupil. For 80mm that would be ~80x.messier 111 wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 1:20 amI just noticed that you have 100mm 90 binos
so I'm sure you'll be able to help me if I ever decide on eyepieces.
for 82mm binos what do you suggest as a high magnification eyepiece?
I know that we cannot have the same magnification as a telescope.
thank you in advance.
I think 80 is already very good.Bigzmey wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 2:28 amTypically, the binocular scopes are collimated to be good up to ~1 mm exit pupil. For 80mm that would be ~80x.messier 111 wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 1:20 amI just noticed that you have 100mm 90 binos

thx Jeff, yes I can't wait to see.
Hoo-ahhh!
You are to a good start with a pair of Mark IV zooms. That's was my plan until I discovered that my face is too narrow for them. Took me quite a bit of effort to find EPs that would fit.messier 111 wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 1:01 pmI think 80 is already very good.Bigzmey wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 2:28 amTypically, the binocular scopes are collimated to be good up to ~1 mm exit pupil. Not to still your thunder but here is a post describing my setup. I find red dot finder very useful.Bigzmey wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 9:48 pmYou are to a good start with a pair of Mark IV zooms. Since I haven't received my tripod yet I can't really say if the space between the two zoom lenses is ok with my nose.Bigzmey wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2024 9:48 pmYou are to a good start with a pair of Mark IV zooms.
