Bath interferometer laser

#1

Post by yobbo89 »

I'm trying to setup my bath interferometer but just can't find a suitable laser, it seems the shape of the diode (rectangle) is projecting through the bath with and without the inbuilt laser lens...

I have a bag of cheap 650nm 5v lasers, does anyone know of a better alternative? or am I doing something wrong, maybe my reference lens is on the wrong way?

Cheers.

it seems the laser is ment to project like this through the bath and one uses part of the laser beam for testing .

Finished my xyz table.

I will start grinding soon, I have my mirror grinding stool setup aswell, just waiting for some wett stones I've ordered to break down the mirror edge, I found a cheap 8" blank I want to practice on before I move onto my 10"
