New Image: M 13 / NGC 6207 / IC 4617

While looking over some possible targets for a star party I am hosting next week I noticed the distances of these three DSOs. I often find it amazing what we can pick up with the addition of a camera.

M 13 is roughly 25,000 ly
NGC 6207 is roughly 30-45 mil. ly
IC 4617 is roughly 500 mil. ly

Picture Stats: Telescope, ED 80 Apo / Camera, Canon 80D / .8 x reducer, flattener / ISO 1600 / Exposure 40 sec / Frames 50 light & 50 dark

Nice Image Rob!
Pretty soon you will be getting the deep Quasars - at 5+ billion years light travel time ('distance' is somewhat confounded by universe expansion when you get really deep.)
