Hey All,
It has been a long time since I posted an image here, maybe a year or so but I managed to have enough equipment left to capture the Eclipse with my Trusty Old AD12 Dob
Anyway, here is my attempt at the eclipse. The weather was looking promising until the clouds rolled in right after the start of the Eclipse. But I managed to get some of it. It was shot with an AD12 Dob using Afocal imaging with my 3D printed platform I made for my phone. The Eyepiece was a 2" TPO 42mm Plossl. I also 3D printed a Sola shield and made the AD12 to 10" since the Thousand Oaks Sheet was 12x12.
For capture, I used my Samsung S20 with a really cool APP called Motioncam Pro. it is the only one out there that does Raw Video but cost me $25. Anyway, I shot the Eclipse "well at least a little of it" using Raw Video, then converted the DNG to Tiffs and then PIPP, then in to AS3 and then Registax and last, Photoshop to finish it off. I miss my cameras and Gear but it was fun overall doing it this way until those darn clouds cam rolling in and right after the Eclipse it cleared up.
Thanks for Looking and I will be on here more often as the Summer Approaches
Brian
