Buds, Branches & Starlight April 13th 2024
Good Day All !
Another early morning session,
This go running the filter stacks without an Ir Uv cut for a bit of fun and to test, Near Infrared 720, Magnesium and H beta.
Buds & Branches shot is 588nm.
Turned out ok I thought, lotta spots today...
Best of Astro Everyone, Indeed !

Thanks indeed,
I look through those branches every morning session now, why not show them off a little I thought...

The experiment was to find out how much the filters were blocking Infrared, I was suspect we could eliminate the Ir Uv cut filters and use them other places or just for safe visual observations with these combos as the overlapping bandpasses hold the rest of the spectrum down quite well it seems.
I like that sharpness of image too, and the new Magnesium filters ability to bring out the smallest of spots, visually that filter is the best I have ever seen Sunspots through so far.

Nicely done Aaron, and I agree; the magnesium filters work very well!
Nice pic with the branches too, perspective is always fun
All the best,
