A month between spots

Hey all

On Feb 20 I took a stack of the Sun in Ca-K, it showed what has turned into so far as the largest spot of Solar Cycle 25, AR3590. It came around the left side on the 18th.

This is it on Feb 26. It's almost the size of Jupiter and 60% of the size of the spot that produced the Carrington event. It has also coughed out the biggest flare of this cycle so far.

Today, March 20, I took a W/L stack of it; it's now known as AR3614. Not quite the monster AR3590 was, but still there.

With the high winds and only occasional shots through the clouds, I'm surprised the 10% stacked of the only 38 shots I managed worked out!

Cool you are getting some Sun in, I got a little myself today but the cloud rolled in and shushed it all up good...

Still a nice spot inbetween months though, indeed!

Those are great images Mark.
If the sun decides to shoot a flare at us life could get very interesting.
