This is a reprocess of data I collected in February of 2023.

10x 300s O3, 1x1 (00:50:00)
10x 10s Luminance, 1x1 (00:01:40)
6x 60s Luminance, 1x1 (00:06:00)
10x 60s Red, 2x2 (00:10:00)
10x 60s Green, 2x2 (00:10:00)
10x 60s Blue, 2x2 (00:10:00)
Total exposure: 02:17:40
The nebula colours are HOO, on a luminance layer that is a combination of
My goal with M-42 is to ensure that the exposure level shows the Trapezium clearly, the inner core with lots of detail but still looking very bright without washing out the Trap, and some of the outer ring of nebulosity. I think this reprocess did that, as well as tightening up the stars compared to my previous attempts. A little more data on the dimmer parts of the nebula wouldn't hurt: something for the future.
