Sun - 3/2/24

First cut at an image of the Sun (3/2/24 around 1:30 PM) with a Daystar Quark eyepiece attachment. This was taken with a ZWO FF65 scope riding on a iOptron HEM27 mount, a 0.75 reducer, and a ZWO ASI294MM camera. This is the first image with the FF65 of the Sun, today being the first reasonably clear day since I got it a few weeks ago. This is from a set of 465 frames each at 4144x2822 resolution with 30% stacked. Exposure was 44ms and a gain of 0. Resulting images were processed and combined with Autostakkert, Pixinsight, and Windows, and Apple edit. The new Solar Toolkit within Pixinsight makes some aspects of solar processing much easier.

I started watching a Pixinsight solar processing video (Bill Blanshan). Must go back and watch it all!
