Hello from the UK. New vendor alert!

#1

Post by Astro TUFF TRUK Ltd. »

Hello everyone, I would just like to give you a brief introduction to our business, I will post further product details in the vendors section.

We are Matt and Lee and we own Astro TUFF TRUK Ltd., a UK based manufacturer of high quality and customisable telescope transport systems. We hand build every TRUK in our workshop in East Yorkshire in England. We have been featured multiple times in Astronomy Now Magazine and have been trading for around 2 years attending many astronomy shows here in the UK.

We have just had a major redesign of our products which has allowed shipping costs to be brought right down, on the back of this we are now shipping to the USA and other areas of the globe. We cater for all mounting types and telescope types. As above I will post more details in the vendors section but for now it’s a big hello from us and we hope we can help some of you on your Astro journey. Clear skies all. Thanks. Matt and Lee.

I have been talking to Lee recently on another Forum about his observatory which if the quality of their products matches the quality of his Observatory then they will be extremely well made.

I hope it is in order to post a link to their website but this may be a UK link.

Hi Matt and Lee, welcome to TSS! I took a look at your website as well; nice selection of products and accompanying accessories! Being a welder myself I can appreciate your choice of materials as well as the powder coating. Your products are built to last a lifetime! :D

And not to be nit-picky, but this popped out at me when looking at the Tripod Truk:

Pictured with an EQ5 200p telescope and tripod which locates in the TRUK’s pre-drilled holes of our standard 90cm foot spread or with 3 optional extra cups for a variety of tripod feet shapes. Please note that the pre-drilled hole version has holes to suit your specific tripod, so this can limit any future upgrades, hence

why we do prefer to supply the cups to future-proof your hobby.

I'm thinking you don't want the line break between "hence" and "why". And I think the only reason I noticed it is because your site is so well laid out!

Again, welcome and all the best in your endeavours!
Mark

"The Hankmeister" Celestron 8SE, orange tube Vixen made C80, CG4, AZ-EQ5 and SolarQuest mounts.

Ca-K - W/O 61mm, Antares 1.6 barlow, Baader 3.8 OD and Ca-K filters with a ZWO ASI174mm.
W/L - C80-HD with Baader 5.0 & 3.8 Solar film, Solar Continuum 7.5nm and UV/IR filters with a Canon EOS 550D.

Hi Mark, many thanks for the great comments, and thanks again for another pair of eyes on the site. I spent days writing and rewriting the descriptions
as the whole webpage thingy was absolutely brand new to us, but It's almost there... a work in progress.
I have just been and rectified said line lol so again, thanks.

Cheers,
Lee.
