Happy New Year Everyone ! and another Gregorian Orbit begins...
And for a proper Solar Celebration I thought an SDO composite image from the whole year of 2013 would kick things off with a Disk!
The other image I took with a smartphone out my back door on Feb 16 2014 or shortly after the SDO comp was published and was the shot in a million that got me chasing the light or, taking snaps...
That night the lightning was coursing along and above the ground a few feet up and weaving through trees and around the houses without touching anything but my antenna array on the garage ( in the photo ) was hit several times, fortunately it and its double grounded 6 Ga connection had no damage at all...In fact no damage anywhere that night and it was like the bolts were just feeling thier way throughout the neighborhood. Too many to count.
Forgot all about my cell lightning sessions those many years ago and no one ever did see the only shot I did get that night...
Then a recent video discussing the wierd properties of light ( right up My Alley ) Triple Polarization, Newtons Corpuscles and the Luminiferous Aether had me recalling the helical vexing plasma feeling its way through that distant night and I just had to dig up the image and have another look.
