Mono - 8x36 or 10x36 or ???
Looking at Vortex monoculars. What thinks the collective mind - 8x36 or 10x36? The price difference is small. Maybe Opticron 8x42?
I'd probably use it as a pocket or briefcase carry for quick looks.
Thanks.

If you will use it for both daytime and night I would go with 8x42.

I have 7x20 and 8x25, at 10x and one eye, the image will be more difficult to view steadily, so a compact bino would prove more useful at that mag.

Yes, I have compact binos. I was thinking of getting a little more aperture .

Hi Olen,
Depends on your budget and how picky you are. The Bushnell Forge 42mm are truly superb for both day and nighttime use. Razor sharp and contrasty across the wholeFOV . No compromises on quality.
If you want something more budget friendly then I recommend these
viewtopic.php?t=32132#p254549
Nice and sharp and contrasty in the centre but with some falloff in sharpness towards the edges at 1/4 the price of the Forges.
