Another View of the Geminid Meteor Shower

This shot came from my Canon 80D. I had the 6D and 80D aimed in different directions. Yesterday's shot was from the 6D. This was shot with a Rokinon 15mm f/2.0 lens. The ISO was set at 1600 and the exposures were 15 seconds. This is a composite of 11 frames.

You can really see that the Geminids are striking above you.

My image has the radiant low on the north east horizon. The camera is not level with the horizon. It's sitting on the dec plate of a tracker. Nonetheless, you can see a different perspective of the meteors striking the atmosphere at a much lower angle and travelling over us.

I noticed you shot. It is fantastic. It does show an entirely different perspective. I think your perspective might be the one most commonly viewed. When watching meteor showers most of us are looking up and see the meteors as striking across the sky.
