Geminids meteor shower
The Geminids meteor shower is one of the most active showers of the year, and in some years is the strongest, with a peak rate of around 100 meteors per hour. This year it peaks on Thursday night 14 December to Friday morning 15 December. It is the one major shower that shows good activity before midnight and the Moon is just past new.

Re: Geminids meteor shower
I've read the best night is 13/14 and 14/15. I think the peak is late in the afternoon on the 14th. Will there be much difference between the two nights?

Re: Geminids meteor shower
Checking the forecast, Thursday is supposed to be partly cloudy for now, meaning there is a chance they will be observable.
