Ca-K Sun Dec 6th

Post by Thefatkitty »

Hey all, hope you're good :D

I haven't been on here much of late; for the past two weeks I've had this nasty flu thingie which won't go completely away. Last Thursday I thought it was gone, and then Friday I felt like crap again and was laid out from Saturday to Monday. At the moment I'm good, but that might change anytime

Yesterday when I got in from work it was early, cold, and somewhat sunny out at 1PM. I thought to get some vitamin D and see what I could get. Not the best to be sure; it looks like an old tube TV picture with somewhat fuzzy antenna reception. Damn moisture.

In false colour and the original B/W:

As I was processing these, I heard my daughter come in the back door. This is her first year of university, and she also got a part time job. Not the fast food type, she works for an after school program teaching French and English to grade school/high school students and makes $21 an hour; better than minimum wage here ($16.55 per hour). She got her first pay yesterday, and what was the first thing she did? She went out and bought her father this:

After I lost my mind with appreciation, I asked her why? My birthday was at the end of October and X-mas isn't for a bit.... She smiled and said, "Because you're the best Dad ever and we both like the same music among other things".
Wow. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry; I think I did a bit of both ;) And of course, this is who I went with to go see the Smashing Pumpkins last summer. She is so my child! We're also going to see Def Leppard this coming summer.

After I have a shower and something to eat, you know what's hitting the turntable tonight!

And in case you're wondering, she did get her mother something, an Irish cookbook she's wanted for some time. Mmmmm, yum!

And that's it for me. Today was back to clouds with some snow last night to boot.

It won't last; supposed to be 10C (50ish F) this weekend with lots of rain. This is December??

Also, there are a few of you I need to get back to (PM's and email); please bear with me. Not something I can or want to do in 5 minutes; I need a Saturday morning with time and coffee for that.

Have a good night/day all,
Mark

Sounds busy Mark,

Cool you got some D indeed, on Nov 30th I overwrote a 1tb ssd and messed up the drive bad enough for a few weeks then after finally getting things back going and some more cloud.. I woke early today but just a little to much sky muck about.

They're saying Monday now for clear so maybe another shot at it then....

Enjoy the Music for sure, and best of luck Everyone!
