Hello all

Post by nickarp2000 »

Hi everyone
Just stumbled across this forum and added it to my list.
Been an avid skywatcher since my very early youth and have progressed through various itterations of astronomy from simple Binocular viewing through to Dobsonians at the beginning to now more leaning towards astrophotography particularly DSO's.
My current kit is as follows:-
Starfield 102 F/7 Doublet
C9.25XLT
Skywatcher Equinox ED80Pro (broken fine focuser so not used much)
Very old bespoke 10" Dobsonian (now used by my grandson)
CEM60
various ZWO cameras for guiding & imaging with the 585MC being my main imaging camera at the moment
I tend to do OAG through PHD2 as I just find it easier.
Looking forward to clear winter skies here in the UK (although the chances like normal are very slim)
Nick

Welcome to the forum Nick.
Skywatcher Equinox ED80Pro (broken fine focuser so not used much)
Post photos of what's broken in the DIY forum. Somebody might be able to suggest a fix. If not, you can buy GSO 2-speed focusers that are direct replacements for ED80's(96mm tube model). In my case, I replaced one of the horrible single speed focusers on my ED80 with this one.
