I hope this message finds you well, and that you're all enjoying the night sky, especially the mesmerizing beauty of the northern lights, which are currently in season.
For those of you who may not recall, I've had the pleasure of being a part of the Astronomyforum.net community. Allow me to reintroduce myself:
I have been an avid astronomy enthusiast since my childhood. Back then, I explored the night sky using a modest 76az telescope and 10x50 binoculars. Regrettably, due to unfavorable light conditions in my previous residence in Gujarat, India, I couldn't delve deep into observing deep-sky objects. Nevertheless, I took joy in observing basic
This was all back in 2019. Following that, the COVID-19 pandemic brought about a challenging period, during which my astronomical pursuits took a back seat. In 2022, I relocated to Canada, but the busy schedule and settling in took precedence, leaving me with limited time for stargazing.
Now, I'm excited to rekindle my passion for astronomy, to refresh my knowledge of celestial objects, constellations, and more. I've discovered that Canada offers a vibrant astronomy community with numerous activities and groups dedicated to stargazing, often equipped with impressive telescopes. I'm eager to connect with like-minded enthusiasts and join them in their astronomical pursuits.
While I currently don't have immediate plans to acquire a new telescope, I'm considering investing in a larger one in 2024 to explore a wider range of deep-sky objects.
There's a lot to catch up on, including revisiting some constellations and star positions that I've temporarily forgotten over the past two years. Additionally, I'm looking forward to expanding my horizons, delving into astrophotography, and improving my stargazing skills.
I'm confident that this forum will provide the valuable guidance and knowledge needed to elevate my astronomical journey to the next level. Thank you for welcoming me back, and I look forward to engaging in enlightening discussions and sharing our passion for the cosmos.
