Folding music stand for charts, etc.?

Thinking about ordering a collapsible music stand to hold charts, sketch pad, iPad, whatever when observing. I have a couple of small folding tables with white plastic tops kind of like mini banquet tables, but I'm thinking an angled surface would eliminate the need to lean over all the time to see things. Plus it should be pretty easy to hang a red light on one rather than futzing with my little red flashlight. Anybody else use one?

I use one to hold my atlas when at the telescope.
Very handy item.

I prefer to use a table for my reference materials. I also place my EP case on it and use it to write notes as I observe. I figured a music stand would not provide enough support for writing.

I got a usb powered LED desk lamp and tapped the LED over with Red Lens Repair Tape.



The lamp has a flexible neck so I can position it to illuminate both the atlas and my notepad.

I dictate notes to the notepad app on my phone, that way I don't have to go looking for a pencil in the dark, or even write for that matter.

I guess that makes me a "dictator"!

Does the app get all the astro lingo right? MS Word tries to autocorrect me all the time when I type my reports.

I use an app on my Android smartphone called Simple Notepad. It's put out by a group called mighty frog. I also have downloaded voice access by google. Voice access learns your inflections and makes the conversion from speech to text fairly accurate. I spend way less time editing my notes than it would take to write them out.
