10th September Sun ☆ Twenty & Twenty Three
Awesome day Everyone!
Started out at 1pm and worked as quickly as I could as the heavy cloud rolled in fast!
I recieved a shipment yesterday of a few filters that would narrow my H beta broadband setup a bit and hopefully maybe even finish the project altogether.
But todays post is about Sodium D...and the light red 23A showing up to make our session.
I eyed these two or should I say 3 lines a while back and since of late I have been homing in on the broadband H beta line this new sodium combo just popped into my head the other day and Wella it turned out this afternoon indeed.
On a side note though the H beta upgrade did succeed but the clouds killed the disk edges so maybe tomorrow we'll see that bear out.
The test filament image showed the signature yellow faded to red colouring and to me it resembles a musical note of the optical kind.
The imaging today was through milk for this session and bar none the Sodium filter hack beat the H beta hack hands down seeing through the muck easily, think I have a new friend
Anyways, I'll get both these solar hacks going the next go round and,
Best of luck all, of course.

Thanks Mike,Solsearcher wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 3:21 am Nice capture Aaron ,

The colours are a wonder and the jumbling of filtering that makes them, each a little puzzle with a mystery ending...
It is fun.
