Explore Scientific sale

ES seems to be having a sale, maybe pre NEAF, maybe inventory clearance.

Mostly lower end mounts and scopes, though.

70mm Achro + Entry level mount for $60.
The scope is not very good, but the mount seems to be the EXOS Nano EQ (retails for $150 usually)

iEXOS-100-2 PMC-Eight Equatorial Tracker System with WiFi and Bluetooth $350 (tripod has 1.25" skinny legs) and a combo with a 80mm F/8 CF Achro for $430.

Have not seen such prices in a while, could be leftover inventory, but ES usually has good support for their products.

My first telescope was a 70 mm f/10 and I still own it after all these years. :)
It should be a good grab and go and put up nice images of the Moon and planets.

Anecdotally, the scope focuser may be plastic, but then plastics have come a long way in the past 2 decades.

My EXOS Nano EQ mount has served me well as grab and go mount and as an intro to EQ mounts with a ST80.

It is a good setup for a youngster, or a "oldster" who wants a grab and go. :)

Does seem like a lot of stuff for $60. NEAF is this weekend. The sale has been going on for more than a week, and it might end this weekend.

They seem to have some good prices on eyepieces right now (Labor day weekend, 2023).
* Meade 323 refractor on a manual equatorial mount.
* Celestron C6 SCT on a Twilight 1 Alt-Az mount
