I took a break from my normal double star observing in honor of the meteor shower and warm summer nights. For the break I invited friends to join me.

There were 12 of us who came out to hunt meteors through the early evening clouds. We didn't see any, but we did get enough breaks in the clouds for me to show them Albireo, Saturn, and a few more

I had another first-time guest who didn't make who wasn't there the previous Friday night. He came and stayed from 8:00 pm. - 12:30 am. I mostly just answered his questions and showed him whatever he was interested in. He had lots of questions and wants to come back sometime.

I had another first time-guest. He was visiting from out of town and asked if I would show him the telescope. He stayed until about 1:30 am. The sky cooperated and we spent the time looking at all sorts of different objects. We viewed everything at both 88X and 280X. He may bring his family back with him if he can get away tonight.
That's my report. I split no doubles this week. I hosted 14 guest observers this week. The highlights of the week was Saturn and globular clusters.
