Just saw this. This takes risk taking to an extreme level. And I mean extreme. Even for sky divers.
* Meade 323 refractor on a manual equatorial mount.
* Celestron C6 SCT on a Twilight 1 Alt-Az mount

Nope, nopity-nope! You couldn't get me to jump out of a perfectly good airplane, never mind doing it without a parachute. That's nuts!

He could have had parachute, just in case. It is like watching toddler playing with chainsaw, alarming and irrorating. Not just for him, but for his crew who went alone with that.

When I was stationed at a Navy airfield, there was a little haiku painted on the parachute rigging tower. I guess it didn't apply to this guy:
