New Image: Moon With DSLR

Hi, all!

This is an old photo of mine, taken all the way back in May of 2015! :shock:

I used a Nikon D810 with a Nikon 500 mm f/4 and a Nikon x1.7 teleconverter. Settings were:
  • Aperture: f/16
  • Shutter: 1/50
  • ISO: 200
Thought some of you might get a kick out of it!

Hi Lyle. A very nice lunar image with your Nikon D810 camera and borrowed Nikon 500 mm f/4 lens. Excellent contrast, lots of sharp surface details, and the ejecta rays from Crater Tycho. Thanks for sharing this capture with us Lyle and keep your great work.

One can get decent full disc lunar images with a DSLR and this is grteat for 8 years ago!
