I hope that I am not boring y'all with my repros. Poor skies and don't have the grandson for a couple of days!
Another image from back in September of 2021 that was screaming for a new process.
245 lights at 120 seconds with the L-eNhance, ASI533 MC-P, Sharpstar 61 EDPHII, and AVX (about 8 hours total).
Processed from the original masterlight (linear stacked image). Thanks once again to Bill Blanshan for his wonderful PixelMath processes. Also, Russell Crowman for his superb XTerminator tools.
Captured with NINA and processed in Pixinsight.
Thanks for looking and comments are very welcome!

Nice Jim, Super widefield and really like the way you mapped the colors.
Hey Steve,
My Sharpstar!!! Love the fov!!!!
Thanks for letting me know that you liked the mapping.
New mapping scheme. I used the same with the recent repro NGC 7000 The NA Nebula.
Since I posted the original image, I bumped the saturation a tad. Below it the finished product.

While I'm not typically a fan of false color images, this one is very nice! Great job Jim!

Me too Larry. I like the reds. But, in some images, an alternate color palette will significantly enhance details and it made a big difference in this data.
If you’re interested in seeing the “red” version of this data, you can scroll down the AB linked image and you will see the revision versions.
Thanks a bunch Larry!
Haven’t seen you in a bit. You’re weather must be like mine!

Pretty much... I set up a few times, but have been less than thrilled with the results. Maybe I'll post them anyway.

Been there too. It’s so disappointing to spend a night or two imaging only to be disappointed with the results.
Sometimes if you just let it simmer for awhile then give it another shot, the results are much different.

Hi Jim. Wow, This is a great IC 1396 (The Elephant's Trunk) Nebula image, especially on the astrobin site. You have excellent contrast, well framed, and I love the nebulosity and dust cloud colors and details in this new version. Thanks for sharing this redo with us Jim and the best of wishes for getting some clear night skies again soon.

Hey there Marshall!
Thank you for the nice comment!
I had recently reprocessed the North American Nebula with the same color palette and it came out nice, so I tried it on this similarly dated data.
Personally, I really like it even better!
Thanks buddy!
