This has been for months, WHEN will it change ? It looks like even the ' Shadow ' doesn't know, lol ! Are there very many North Americans or further that have lucked in ?? PS: And the beat goes on !

Very sorry to hear that. Here in north Texas, available clear skies have been about normal. So far this year, I’ve had 19 days observing sessions where it was both clear and I had time available. My handicap is that I have Bortle 8 skies. I’m mostly a visual observer so I don’t need many straight hours of perfect weather either like some of the AP folks I know do.

It's been miserable here in North Carolina also.

I think I have several inches of "accumulated" mud here LoL

I have had a few exceptional nights in central EU and the next two nights are the best forecast I have seen in a very long time.
Hopefully you will get some clear skies soon.

The weather has been pretty much the same in Northern Utah. Clouds, clouds, and more clouds.

I suppose it mostly depends on what area of astronomy you are into.

If you are searching the skies with telescopes, for planets or nebula for example, then longer periods of clear skies are required.

When it is cloudy, then that can be very frustrating.

Personally, I prefer to do naked eye or binocular observing, therefore I have more opportunity to go out in between cloudy sessions as the set-up is minimal.

All of the New Forest is Bortle 4 so when it is clear the view of the skies are very good for observing.

I can still appreciate the frustrations of constant cloudy weather, so can only hope that you get some cloud-free weather soon.

Lousy. The best night was that of Jan. 29th when I observed the comet. Since then there was perhaps one morning early when I got up and could see any stars, and that was between two stretches of cloudiness on the same day/eve. Hopefully we'll see improvement here shortly.
