My Greenhouse project - timelapse

#1

Post by MartinF »

So, this is really Off Topic. For all of you garden lovers.

Last year I spent most of my free time during summer building a greenhouse for my wife. The things we do to get a little credit... :D
The greenhouse itself was a kit we ordered but since we (my wife) wanted the type that sits on a wall I had A LOT of work to do before assembling and mounting the greenhouse itself. Just the material for the foundation cost as much as the greenhouse itself!! :o

I started with the excavating on April 30 and was mostly finished by the end of September. The only thing that remains is to backfill a bit on one side and to lay a row stone paving around it.

Anyway, here is 5 months of work condensed into 7 minutes of timelapse. If you´re the impatient kind - just set Youtube to play back at 2x speed ;)
The film doesn´t show in the list on my Youtube, so here´s a direct link:

Wow Martin that is one fantastic project :o

What an exceptional job you made of it.

I had to smile at the end when you showed a cup of tea or coffee on the wall. I think you deserved more than that.

I would say that you are definitely in your wife's good books for life now

I hope you both get many years of pleasure from that greenhouse.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

Hi Martin. Wow, that is a very nice greenhouse that you installed at your home. You were moving pretty quick in this video so I wonder why it took 5 months. :icon-smile:
This was a very enjoyable video and you and your wife should enjoy using this green house for many years. Thanks for taking the time to put this up here on TSS Martin and I raise a glass of Glögg to you for a job well done.

Wow Martin - very cool.

Lots of work, WAY beyond my skill level, but I suspect it will be worth it!

Wow! I have a very distinct underachiever feeling after watching that.

I built a Lego house... once... a long time ago... it was considerably smaller than the structure in the video...

The thought crossed my mind more than once during the process that I could have built an observatory with less effort put into it than this :D
