NASA defunds Venus VERITAS mission.
Although we are behind the Russians with their successful Venera landings on Venus, which returned many interesting surface images, it was hoped that the NASA VERITAS mission would advance us to a new level of achievement. However, although the mission was on track and on budget, NASA has pulled the funding for this mission. You can read more about this here, at:

Very unfortunate but I think Russia is still launching between 2024-2025 so we will eventually get some new science.
If agencies like NASA would go back to fixed price contracts instead of cost plus they would be getting better, faster results and on budget.
